Visa and Mastercard
They are the leading companies in providing credit card. But they do not issue out credit cards.
So what are they? They are just different methods of payments. They rely on the banks to issue credit cards which make use of their methods.
And how do they earn money? They charge the retailer who uses their service.
therefore the interest charges annual fees and whatnot are from the banks themselves.
